Bread Breakers

What is Bread Breakers?

Bread Breakers are small groups of people who meet once a month for dinner and to share fellowship.

How does it work?

It’s really very simple.  Those who sign up will randomly be assigned to small groups of six to eight people. One person will be designated as the convener for the group.

What does the convener do?

The convener contacts each member of his/her small group to arrange a date/time for the first dinner.  The convener also agrees to host the first meeting, either in his/her own home or in the church’s fellowship hall.  Future plans for hosts and places for dinners are made at each meal.

Who provides the meal?

Food arrangements are up to each small group and can vary from meeting to meeting.  Some ideas are: restaurants; the host provides the meal; potluck; or each person may be assigned a part of the meal.

Why should I join Bread Breakers?

Join because it’s fun!  It’s a chance to strengthen old ties and to meet new friends in the congregation.  It’s a chance to share information and ideas.  And it’s an opportunity to explore dreams and visions for the future of Grace Church.
