After a year of volunteer work through Lutheran Volunteer Corps, Becca attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, and graduated with a Masters in Divinity. She was ordained in 1998 as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. From 1999 to 2001, she served at Trinity Lutheran in Princeton, Minnesota. In 2002, she returned to Maryland as minister of The Kittamaqundi Community for almost 3 years. In 2005 she came to the Church of the Saviour community in DC, where she founded Becoming Church, Church of Christ, Right Now and Reunion, a congregation and two non-profits at the intersection of lives of discipleship and the issues of incarceration and re-entry. Becca looks forward to deepening with the congregation on spiritual formation while working on issues of community needs, nurturing reconciliation, and working with the congregation as the Spirit leads us.
